Why I do this

Hi, I'm Dylan. Registered occupational therapist, and the owner of Fast Track Therapy.

I work with individuals living with neurological, neurodevelopmental, and psychosocial disabilities. My practice focuses on custom scripted equipment, home modifications, capacity building, and supporting participants with transitions into SDA housing.

I started Fast Track Therapy to make accessing services fast and straightforward. Sign up is quick, and the paperwork is kept short. When you reach out, you speak directly with me, and you have my direct contact throughout your journey.

What I work in most

  • Neurological conditions
  • Wheelchairs and custom seating
  • Home modifications, small and complex
  • Moving into SDA housing
  • Building skills and confidence day to day
What I do

Six things I can help with.

Occupational therapy is practical. It is about the everyday stuff. Getting around the house, looking after yourself, staying where you live, and doing the things you actually enjoy.

  • Wheelchairs and seating

Finding you a chair that fits properly, including custom seating, and trying it out at your place before you commit to it.

  • Changes around the home

Rails, ramps, and a bathroom you can use safely. I write the report your funder needs as well.

  • Equipment and daily aids

From scooters and hoists down to the small gadgets that make one job easier.

  • Safe moving and transfers

Showing you, and the people who help you, how to move about safely and lower the risk of anyone getting hurt.

  • Assessments and reports

Functional capacity assessments and home and living reports, written the way your funder needs them.

  • Skills and confidence

Routines, independence, and support for your mental health along the way.

What does an occupational therapist actually do?

I help you do the things you need and want to do. Sometimes that is equipment, like a wheelchair or easier cutlery. Sometimes it is changing something about the house, learning a skill again, or finding a different way to do a job. It is practical, and it starts with whatever matters to you.

Who do you work with?

Teenagers, adults and older adults aged 16+. People living with disability, injury or illness, and anyone finding the everyday things harder than they used to be. For children, a paediatric OT is the right fit.

Where do appointments happen?

At your place. Home, work, or somewhere else that suits you. There is no clinic to travel to and no parking to find. I use telehealth where that suits you better.

What happens at the first appointment?

Mostly we talk. What you want to be able to do, how your days go, what is already working, and who is around to help. Depending on your situation I may do an assessment to guide what I recommend. It follows whatever matters to you.

How soon can I be seen?

I aim to ring within 24 hours, and to book your first appointment within two weeks of your sign up. My diary moves about, so I will tell you exactly where things stand on that call.

What will it cost, and what funding do you take?

NDIS across self managed, plan managed and NDIA managed. Insurance schemes including Lifetime Supports. Private clients too, who may be able to claim a partial Medicare rebate subject to their eligibility. The figure depends on what you need and the travel involved. I go through it with you on the call and it is in writing before anything starts.

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You can ring me yourself. Support coordinators, recovery coaches and other health professionals can get in touch directly too. If you already have a GP referral, bring it along.

I am a support coordinator. How do I refer someone?

Use the check at the top of this page, ring me, or email. Once I have the sign up details I need, the service agreement goes out and I contact the participant, both usually within 24 hours. I keep you updated as appointments are booked, with their consent.
